Learn the basics of handbuilding in this 4 week course and see what you can do. We will cover the fundamental techniques of ceramics such as modeling, glazing, decoration and firing. Make your first pots, jewelry or cup from start to finish. Each student in this course will create a single model of a form dearest to his or her heart. We will also discuss design. Materials will be provided. *Note: This is not a wheel throwing class. We will work in porcelain and do cone 6 electric firing. This course is for everyone. Please wear clothes you will be comfortable getting messy in. After this class you will walk away with a finished piece.

*Please remember, due to the nature of the production process of ceramic art, to a certain extent we will have to adhere to the character of the material. This essentially means end results will vary.

Duration: 4 weeks
Price: $195

Limited to 3 students per session. If interest exceeds this number, a second section will be added.

Saturdays: 11 AM - 1 PM
